He is Driven From Within…
With an ever-growing pool of real estate agents local to the Main Line and other surrounding Philadelphia suburbs, not to mention the city itself, Scott Furman stays ahead of the race and sets himself apart with a simple approach:
Do it Right!
For Scott, this mantra comes from the heart and a deep-seated belief that the business of real estate is about people, and treating them well and with respect. Ethics, kindness, hard work, integrity, and a sense of service, drives Scott’s success. His clients know that he’s approachable, real, experienced, knowledgeable, an ace negotiator, and above all, a great listener.
“The satisfaction I get from real estate comes from helping people find and attain what they want. What is more important than the concept of home?” Scott says. “That’s what keeps me motivated to do everything possible to provide my clients with a superior experience, every step of the way.”
Scott Furman’s real estate career spans 37 years. In that time, Scott has concentrated his focus on what matters most in the business of buying and selling properties: a positive outcome for his client. With thousands of successful transactions under his belt and a long list of loyal clients, Scott remains driven to provide the best experience possible with every sale, purchase, and interaction with and on behalf of his clients.
Scott’s Road to Real Estate
Scott’s path to real estate began in his youth, with an interest in architecture, history, and antiques. As a teenager, Scott developed a passion for cars, using his entrepreneurial spirit to start a business restoring and selling them right out of his own driveway in Wayne. But when his high school principal explained that a recent aptitude test revealed that Scott was perfectly suited to a career in real estate, he understood the opportunity in front of him. By his junior year, Scott was already taking classes to earn his real estate license. In 1979, at the age of 21, Scott was a full-time real estate professional.
As a new agent, without a mentor, Scott drew inspiration from life lessons learned growing up as the son of a teacher and a well-loved local pediatrician. Scott approached his real estate career with this same instinct and mindset, keeping service and kindness at the forefront of his business practice that his parents lead in their lives. Before long, Scott was a successful real estate agent on the Main Line, and all across Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties. He purchased RE/MAX Classic, his own real estate company, and began investing in local properties with his younger brother Brett, also successful in real estate.
Scott takes pride in driving his family business forward today, tomorrow, and the future. With the successful track record he has built since 1979, he could easily start thinking about more leisure time but Scott is just as Driven as ever. When you work with Scott today, you’ll see shades of that 16-year old who loved to restore cars with meticulous attention to detail. The way he listens carefully to the needs of his clients, then makes their goals his own, doing everything in his power to achieve his clients wants and needs
Today, Scott continues to indulge in his love of antiques and all things automotive. He is actively involved in funding-raising for the ALS Hope Foundation in honor of his father, the American Cancer Society in honor of his mother and funding raising for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to help kid in our area through Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia known to us as CHOP.
